CPC Certificate of Professional Competence (Drivers)
Don’t get caught out if you operate a vehicle 3½ Tonnes or more with a tachograph then there is a good chance you are required to complete 35hrs of periodic training over a 5 year period.
If you are a (PCV) i.e. a Mini Bus or Coach driver you MUST complete your 35hrs training by September 2013
If you are a (LGV /HGV) i.e. a Large Van or Truck driver you MUST complete your 35hrs training by September 2014
If you haven’t completed the full 35 hours training before your cut off date then you are no longer eligible to driver for hire or reward. You will not lose your licence just your entitlement to drive for hire or reward. All the hours training prior to the end date will be lost and you must start again.
Once your 35 hours are complete then your entitlement will be restored and you can drive again for hire or reward. More about which module.
